Choosing your Airsoft Gun

Choosing your Airsoft Gun

Depending on what game you are going to play, you will need the right weapon. Some games require to you to play with only one pistol that another they require you to play with rifle. Knowing what airsoft gun to play with will give you a better advantage in gaining the game of choice.

Playing games with a long range distance, you will want something to satisfy the need for a long-distance shot. Something like the series of AEG goes to darte the best along the accuracy with the speed necessary for the long range. The black eagle M6 has an operational range of 115 feet. It is accurate and a very powerful weapon. A weapon like this would be good for the solitary range battles. The series of AEG have so many possibilities that many purchase these arms like their main weapon.

The series of Airsoft sniper gun is weapon that the newbie ones find very interesting because the price is not that much more than a regular rifle, but may need a lot of adjustments or accessories before they can get to be useful in the game. The sniper rifle is also normally not a primary weapon

If you are a beginner many suggest using something that is low-power to start their experience. The more you play the more experience and then more power you want to go. The lowest power of the weapons are also the most affordable weapons to choose from.

5. MECHANICS

a. Commanders will be chosen by the team members. However, if no selection has been made within the specified time, event organizers will select on site. Upon their selection, commanders will be given their respective mission packets and “bargaining tokens.” Commanders will be given ample time to review their mission objectives with their men. They can assign/delegate mission specific duties to their troops to ensure the completion of a mission within the given time frame.

b. The mission packets will contain specific objectives that each side must accomplish within the given time frame to earn higher points. Mission can continue even as time expires, but lower points will be earned. Scoring will be as follows:

- Mission failed within the allotted time : -50
- Mission failed after time expires : -75
- Mission accomplished within the allotted time : +100
- Mission accomplished after time expires : +75

c. Both M4 and AK teams can acquire the services of the Mercenaries via radio communication BUT must pay them using the “bargaining tokens”. The amount of “tokens” that each side has is equivalent to the maximum points that can be earned if their team succeeds in accomplishing all missions within the set time limit. Mercenaries can win the game by getting as many “tokens” from both M4 and AK teams. Players delivering “tokens” to the Mercenaries, however, can be ambushed and the “tokens” captured. Any “tokens” that are unused and still in the care of the M4 or AK commanders will be added to their final score. The team that gets the most number of points at the end of the game wins.

d. Respawning is allowed to a maximum of 5 lives. A player who is hit will raise his weapon with both arms and proceed to the nearest respawning area. Once inside the respawning area, he will present his ticket to the game marshal on duty so that it can be “marked.” Redeployment of players in the respawning area will be done every 10 minutes.

e. A player who has exhausted all 5 lives before the end of the game will be escorted to the safe area and will not be allowed to reenter the game field. However, a player can reenter the field and play again if he/she purchases another ticket at a discounted price of P100.

f. A ceasefire will be called in any one of the following instances:

- Game marshal checks an injured player and calls for immediate evacuation from the field. Combatants are to hold their positions until the signal to resume is announced.

- Game marshal calls a reset of the mission scenario because of a technicality. Players will move back to their original starting point.

- Commanders request a clarification of a marshal’s call. Combatants are to hold their positions until the signal to resume is announced.

- Lunch break, 1200H - 1300H

—————————————-

Airsoft - Airsoft Gun Review Supports UAA North vs South III (NvS3)

UAA North vs South III
By Fallujah

UAA North vs South 3 (NvS3)

The Scenarios are based on ACTUAL EVENTS.

KOLWEZI, ZAIRE, 1977: OPERATION LEOPARD. Katanganese rebels from the southern portion of the country have rebelled. Calling themselves the “Katanga Tigers”, they seize the main town of Kolwezi and proclaim independence from Zaire, formerly the Democratic Republic of Congo, or Belgian Congo in the ’60’s. Being held by the Katanganese Tigers are a number of European hostages mostly French Christian missionaries.

France launches OPERATION LEOPARD to attack Kolwezi and bring back the hostages alive. The 2REP (airborne) of the French Foreign Legion is sent in to parachute near Kolwezi, enter the town, rescue the hostages, and repatriate them back to Europe. A main force is to follow and assist in the evacuation. However, just prior to the para drop, the hostages have been separated by the rebels.

THE MISSION: a company of your army will para drop and insert into the battlefield prior to the main force, for reconnaissance, to locate the 50 hostages who are scattered throughout the battlefield. Thereafter, the main force will enter and assist in the evacuation of the hostages. But between the paras and the main force are the enemy forces which have been able to form a blocking force to prevent the hostages from escaping. Armored technicals full of drug-crazed rebels also prowl the roads with machine guns and heavy mounted ordnance. Your paras must therefore link up with the main force and bring the hostages back alive.

SIERRA LEONE, 2000 OPERATION BARRAS. The British peacekeeping mission has been beset by a crisis. 20 comrades from the Royal Irish Guards have been seized by the Revolutionary United Front (RUF). Ruthless and drug-crazed rebels known as West Side boys or West Side Niggas operating in the northern part of the country, have taken the hostages to their stronghold in the towns of Geri Bana and Magbeni. The hostages are tied together and cannot be separated.

A joint force of the British Parachute Regiment and SAS has been tasked for the rescue. However, upon entry by heli-borne assault, the rescue force has been split into 3. Only 1/3 of the force has been dropped at the correct site, the others have been scattered over deep in enemy territory.

THE MISSION: The hostages cannot be separated. However five among the group have disappeared. Your job is to locate and bring back every man alive. Compounding your problem are the main forces of the enemy which are also similarly, and confusingly, scattered over the battlefield. You must use your maps to link up with your troops, or bring the hostages back alone through enemy territory.

North vs South III

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT:

The UAA Code of Ethics will apply to all games.

1. FPS Limit- Strictly 450 at .20.
2. Each side will have its respective CAMP. Both scenarios will be 2 hours each, with a lunch break of 1 hour between.
3. All ROADS are SAFE AREAS. You may cross the roads, but you may not travel along the roads (you may travel along the road gutter). You must travel through the jungle. This is Africa.
4. The roads will be patrolled by armed technicals with drunken rebels with heavy machine guns. The rebels may shoot at you, and kill you, but you may not engage the rebels. If you encounter the rebels you must either hide or run away.
5. A Headcount of hostages rescued by either side will be taken at the respective camps of both sides at the end of each game.

PROCEDURE WHEN HIT:

STEP 1: Raise your weapon
STEP 2: Exit the jungle and go to the nearest road
STEP 3: Walk back to your camp with weapon raised and your mask on
STEP 4: Re-spawn at your camp after 15 minutes.

WARNING TO ALL PLAYERS:

The site is deceptively flat. However, the terrain is quite harsh consisting of long elephant grass (”talahib”). We have endeavored to cut trails. But be advised that it is an extremely hot site with little air inside the jungle. So all players are strongly cautioned to:

1. PACE YOURSELF - Those who are not especially fit, are strongly advised to TAKE IT EASY and don’t go all out to fast. Player fatigue was a deciding factor in North vs. South 1.

2. HYDRATE- All players should bring at least a bottle of water or hydration device into the battlefield. These are 2 hour long events. North vs. South is famous for being “death marches”.

3. CONSERVE AMMO- Due to the large number of enemy forces, and long playing time, everyone is advised to CONSERVE BB’S AND BATTERIES. In previous North vs. South games, 1 deciding factor was ammo.

NORTH VS. SOUTH IS THE PREMIER AND ORIGINAL EVENT WHICH DEFINED THE “MEGA GAME” FOR AIRSOFT. IF YOU WANT TO ENGAGE IN A RARE BATTALION SIZED ENCOUNTER WITH TEAMS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE.

Good luck to all!
